Description:-

The division of technology operations (DTO) is going for migration of Exchange 2010 local environment into the Office 365 government Cloud. This will require a senior consultant that will provide all architecture, migration and lead all technical aspects of this project. Further, the senior consultant will develop and deliver specific detailed design and implementation documentation as well as other deliverables, per the project plan.

Knowledge transfer will be a key in this project and the senior consultant will be required to mentor a select group of internal staff who will be supporting, maintaining and modifying this environment going forward. A weekly status report (WSR) will be completed by senior consultant that captures any/all relevant details related to work progress, obstacles to success, etc. The WSR will provide a schedule tracking mechanism to be utilized to track specific project timelines. For this project this candidate will have 5 years of experience with local exchange to exchange online migration and gal sync.

Candidate must have extensive experience with office 365 in the cloud and exchange 2010 in an enterprise environment. Must have active directory skills with the ability to trouble shoot active directory federated services (ADFS). Must have ADFS skills with the ability to ability to federate DTO’s existing ADFS local and DR environment.

Must have forefront identity manager (FIM) skills with the ability to configure, and troubleshoot ad issues. Must have the ability to work with diverse groups and to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly and concisely. Must be available to work outside the normal Monday – Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm business hours as needed. This position requires on-site support! A portion of these duties may be performed remotely.

Responsibilities:-

•The consultant/contractor will assist with the setup and configuration of the exchange hybrid deployment consisting of the onsite exchange 2010 environment and exchange in the government cloud and migration of 500 mailboxes.
•The consultant/contractor will be tasked with creating a unified global address list (gal) between the current email systems and ensure this gal sync also functions when the various email systems migrate to separate office 365 tenants.
•Assessment of on-premises active directory and infrastructure for office 365 readiness.
•Configure directory synchronization.
•Configuration of existing ADFS farm for office 365 identity federation.
•Assist client with validation of configuration of NetScalar for ADFS proxy.
•Configure exchange 2010 hybrid and federation with exchange online.
•Configure on-premises exchange public folders for access from office 365 mailboxes.
•Migrate and test with up to 75 pilot users.
•Migration of 500 mailboxes total to include pilot mailboxes.
•Install and configuration of FIM for gal sync between three state email systems.
•Cross-train state of South Carolina staff on configuration and migration.
•Document the process for moving public folders to resource mailboxes.
•Project management and oversight
